The Basics: Accessing the RU Library Online
DL Home

Many of the Roosevelt University Library's resources are little more than a click away!  That means that you can do a great deal of library research from the comfort of your own home, your local coffee shop, or wherever you can access the internet.  The Library Services for RU Distance Learners page is your doorway to research.

To access the library's online resources from off campus, authentication is required by entering the numbers on your RU ID.  Be sure to use the 23311 in front of your 9-digit RU ID number.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Web Browser

You will need a web browser to use the library catalog, electronic journals, databases, and other electronic resources. We recommend using the latest version of one of the following browsers:

Windows: Firefox (v1.x or higher) or Internet Explorer (v6.x or higher)

Mac: Firefox (v1.x or higher) or Safari

Acrobat Reader

Since many full text databases and journals make their articles available in PDF format, Acrobat Reader is another essential piece of software. Visit the Reader website to download the latest version for free.
